This box is functionally perfect but has a naturally occurring dark inclusion on the right side edge of the lid. It is quite smooth to the touch and completely stable.
The Tamar large general-purpose box is featured here in Blackwood with the lid in a beautiful piece of fiddleback Blackwood with its characteristic beautiful light play in the grain. The box is lined in a taupe coloured synthetic suede and is fitted with solid brass hinges and the lid stays. The finish is a soft, satiny polyurethane that flatters the timber and is also durable and hard-wearing. There are no protruding knobs or catches on the face of the box, just a simple indent for opening and two, neat,rare-earth magnets to hold the lid in place.
